The winter issue of Wooster has arrived!

I began researching Annie Irish (The College of Wooster’s first female professor) in September, spending long hours down in the college library’s archives, slowly drawing together the fragments of her story. I read her (almost 150-year-old) diary and scrapbook, as well as what others have written about her since her untimely death. I wrote and rewrote, revised and reworked the piece, attempting to shed new light on what at first seemed like a tale that had already been told. Yet after reading Annie’s diary, I realized that perhaps there was more to her than her earlier chroniclers had let on.

I finished writing by November, and then had little left to do but wait. It’s great to finally see the result!

What do you think?

What’s this?
